Emma & Richard {the wedding}

After more previews that is usually considered necessary (who could resist those eyes? And those zombies? ) we bring you Emma and Richard, The Wedding.

Emma got ready at a beautiful townhouse in the west end while Richard waited at Glasgow University with his best man and their Humanist celebrant. After a truly touching ceremony(check out the bridesmaids, holding it together nicely girls)  in Randolph Hall and a quiet walk around the University Emma and Richard met up with their friends and family to WEST brewery for drinks, dinner, dancing and sweeties.  Not to mention cake, replete with a fantastically gruesome cake topper customised by Richard.

This was such a lovely day; genuine, warm, relaxed, all the things that sum up Emma and Richard's relationship, and we were so happy to be a part of it.

Due to a prior engagement their dog Clyde was not there but I got over it. Once again Americans are rallied to fight against the result (high prices) rather than what caused the high prices. More money is thrown at the diagnosis leaving less remaining for prevention of high health care costs and prices. The process is great for those who write the articles, capture the attention, and enrich themselves. It is also the easy choice. Exposing high health care prices as evil takes no effort at all. The real harm is done by those who promote what seems to be popular as they distract Americans from the real causes of high health care costs. Oregon PCMH Saved 240 Million But Spent Over 250 Million

The latest headlines spout 250 million saved for Oregon in the movement to Primary Care Medical Home. Claims of savings often fail to consider the additional costs of an intervention or the supplemental government or foundation funding required. Based on $105,000 additional cost per primary care physician per year the following table demonstrates $250 million to 1 billion dollars more in cost for primary care medical home across Oregon. It is important to consider not just the savings, but also the higher costs of new models. Specifics are not given but the impact of the primary care medical home can be estimated across the number of clinics that could participate and the doctors per clinic over a 2 or 3 year period.
